TORAYCA G-FABRIC STRENGTHENING SYSTEM
FOR STRUCTURAL REINFORCEMENT

The features for (TORAYCA®) G-FABRIC strengthening system are its high performance carbon fiber and a visible resin impregnation check system. Toray ACE's system enables visually to check the impregnation in G-FABRIC at construction site and secure Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) strengthening quality.
TORAYCA® FABRICS REINFORCEMENT
(TORAYCA®) G-FABRIC is made by (TORAYCA®) carbon fiber, which has the highest share in the world, and shows stable performance for structure strengthening. Especially, G-FABRIC has the unique function to check the resin impregnation visually. TORAY is the sole company to develop carbon fiber sheets with this function.
VISIBLE RESIN IMPREGNATION CHECK FUNCTION
By completely impregnating resin into G-FABRIC, white roving's which are inserted in G-FABRIC, turn into clear color. This way, inspector can recognize if the impregnation is completed at the construction site. The function enables to secure CFRP performance to the structure strengthening.
MATERIALS
Carbon Fiber and Fabric
All fabrics are manufactured by Toray Industries, Inc. and made with (TORAYCA®) high performance carbon fiber 'T700S' is applied for high tensile strength grade fabrics and 'M46J' is applied for high modulus grade fabrics. Varieties of Carbon Fiber areal weight and width are available to support various applications.
High Modulus Fabric
UM series which are high modulus carbon fabrics are developed for RC slab upgrading. UM series can reduce number of layers compared to the high tensile strength type of carbon fabrics. It contributes to shortening construction time and reducing cost.
AU Resin
AUR80 is an impregnation resin optimized for G-FABRIC Composite System. Primer and Putty are also available.
